When the village of Pibrac (located in 15 km on the West by Toulouse) is discovered they point out her basilica devoted to Saint Germaine.
However Pibrac also has a parish church, the church of Mary-Madeleine which shelters the shrine and the relics of the saint (1579-1601).
In the book of the count of Pibrac (1), he mentioned a portable organ in 1737, present from the priest Horn.
The current organ, under the leadership of the father Bachet, made the object of a classification in Ancient monuments and of a restoration in 1980 by Alain Leclère.
In a booklet (2) accomplished in this epoch with the "Association Pèlerinage Sainte-Germaine",
the father Bachet learns us that Feuga would be the constructor undoubtedly with the help of Theodore Puget.
Recent researches inform us that Puget constructed the organ of Pibrac in 1863. The organ was inaugurated in June 1864 with the organist of the metropolis,
holder of the organ of the cathedral Saint-Étienne in Toulouse. The sideboard would be the work of Louis Lacassin, joiner in Pibrac.
Pibrac has an organ of transition of 16 stops conceived well for the church. The keyboard of Great - Organ is in the classical tradition,
while the Recit with its swell box and its romantic stops registers in the direction taken by the bill of organ in the second half of XIX ème century.
Works started in July 2001. Bernard Raupp, factor of gersois organs, assures this new restoration. Its intervention on bases,
and many additional jobs will make the organ of Pibrac, an instrument was renovated from top to bottom.
There are many organists who succeed one another in this instrument for their studies, during concerts or to serve accompaniment in liturgy.
The parish of Pibrac is part with Brax of the parish sector taken care by the Fathers of the community of Bétharram.
